Two new projects are in the pipeline: my newsletter and a podcast. At the same time, I further developed the blog and was enormously challenged in table tennis.

Podcast

I have started a new project with my esteemed colleague Maurice Renck - we plan to publish a podcast episode every two weeks. We will announce the details next week. To voice the initial episode, I had to go very far out of my comfort zone. And it was worth it. The recording was a lot of fun and went surprisingly well.

Blog

Book List

This blog has received the Books subpage. I continue to write the detailed specialist book reviews as blog articles, but at the same time I wanted an overview of all the books I have read read. And I don't want to write a comprehensive review of leisure novels. In order to place it prominently, I placed the last three books on the homepage in a similar way to my blog articles.

Prev/Next in posts

I found the item detail page to be a dead end. To get to another article, go through the overview. As a solution, I have installed forward-back navigation at the end of the articles. As a small challenge, this navigation should take into account which filter has been activated in the overview. This worked great with the Kirby board resources (Collections).

Automation

Unfortunately it hasn't been finished yet, but it's worth mentioning. With the automation tool n8n services can be linked together as no-code. There is a free version for hosting yourself. With the setup, articles are published as Medium articles and made known as a LinkedIn post. I will report on the details soon.

Table tennis

System training

A system training took place this Monday. Why is this worth mentioning? Because our coach is Philipp Floritz (former national player). The training is intense and great. The many little tips on leg positioning and posture are worth their weight in gold. The exercises are demanding and suitable for our level.

League game

After the trip to China I had my first league game for the 2nd men. That means competing in a higher class. Unfortunately we had to admit defeat against SV West Eimsbüttel II. However, I was able to keep the upper hand in the doubles with Beate 3:1. In my singles I was able to go through 5 sets and was lucky to take a point in the last set with 11:9.
