Last week we went back to Hamburg from Jinan - Shandong Province in China. As soon as we got home, the club's internal NTSV table tennis championship was about to begin.

Last Saturday, after 28 days, we had to pack our bags to travel from Jinan to Beijing. I spent a night there in a hotel near the airport and the following day I took a 15h flight to Hamburg via Frankfurt. My personal travel tip for you: the best way to cope with the time zone change is to act as you would at the local time at your destination when you board the plane. My start time was 12 noon in China, which was 6 a.m. German time. So during the 12 hour flight to Germany we had to stay awake - I can tell you it's possible! What worked well for me: on the one hand, leave the window cover open and enjoy the view. On the other hand, coffee and a good book. Get up every now and then, move, stretch and, if you can't, start watching the exciting films.

Even with the tips, one thing remains unavoidable: jet lag. Sport helps me with that. I enjoyed a rest day after the trip and went to the gym for a test workout on the second day after the flight. I completed my membership the following day. One of my goals for Germany, which I took with me from China, has now been achieved: continue to do fitness - chaka!

In the three working days this week I refined my blog - the comment function and WebMentions are activated. Take a look at the bottom of the page and try it out for yourself!

At the same time, the final preparations were underway for the club's internal table tennis championship at the NTSV, which we will be holding on October 3rd. have carried out. With my organizing team (Myke, Dieter and Martin) we made a wonderful, sporting day possible for 32 players.

All participants brought a little something for the buffet and so the event turned out to be a culinary delight. Here's a look at one half of the buffet:

To end this turbulent week, I signed up for a new e-learning course today - this one: TV Masters from Thinkbox. I will report on this in detail soon - the goal is to watch the courses and pass the exam by the end of November.
