Start of the 2025 Blog Weeks

This week I reported. In the coming months, I will publish various articles in this context. I started with the question: Why am I blogging?

My First Half Marathon

After three days of rest and recovery, I wanted to get going on Monday. But that didn't happen. My legs were still heavy, and I couldn't pick up the pace. So I stuck to my motto: persevere. The focus is on silencing the inner voices and keeping running when it seems impossible.

Thursday was May 1st, and with it, plenty of time. No excuses. I managed to put aside the doubts that day and keep going. So, my first half-marathon is complete. After my success, I'm treating myself to a break until the start of the next week.

  • Monday 11 km run.
  • Tuesday 14 km run.
  • Wednesday 11 km run + 1.5 hours of fitness.
  • Thursday 21 km run → I did it!
  • Friday 1.5 hours of fitness.
  • Saturday all-day training (upskilling as club manager).
  • Sunday all-day training (upskilling as club manager).

Server Side Stories

This week saw a particularly interesting episode of my podcast Server Side Stories. Maurice and I talk about how we got into software development, our first contact with computers, and how we both played a lot of Giana Sisters. Listen to the episode here. (German only)
