Awakened attention for my blog
Two separate circumstances led me to decide to give my blog the attention it deserves again. You can find out what these reasons were and what I'm doing with them in this article.
Inspiration for Editorial Planning
After attending the BusinessMom online seminar on content creation by Simone Maader, my wife told me about a simple yet brilliant approach: Choose a central topic for each month. Define these topics for the year in advance. Before the start of each month, research using AI and formulate initial ideas in the form of headlines. This will give me a common thread throughout the year and month, making it easier to write.
I can plan. I also have plenty of topics. So, I'm doing it. I'll start in December. The final decision for the topic hasn't been made yet.
Inspiration to “Just Do It.”
In my article from yesterday about annual goal reflection, I mentioned Matt Gray's video. In it, he talks, among other things, about facing discomfort (Step 3: Discomfort Challenge). I count down from 5 to 1 and tackle it. No distractions. No excuses. Just do it. With my approach above, it can't be that difficult to generate more valuable content again.
My Challenge
The combination of these impulses led to the idea of posting daily for the rest of the year. This raises many questions – how do I fit that in? What topics should I cover? What about the question of “quantity vs. quality”?
I'm considering this an experiment and seeing what happens. Looking back, I'll draw my conclusions for 2026. As a first step, however, a significant hurdle must be overcome: Not all of my articles will include an image. My blog is structured in a way that makes this necessary. Therefore, step one was to eliminate this requirement. The result is the current article.
From now on, it's about creating systems that will allow me to implement this ambitious plan.
