Weekly review cw 22
When someone travels, they have something to report. During my trip to Denmark, I spent a week practicing board games, reading, and going for runs. Besides relaxing, I was able to gain a few valuable insights.

Finally, several times 12 miles (approx. 19 km)
This week I was on holiday with my family in Denmark. Planning resulted in three free afternoons for running. Thanks to Komoot, I discovered a fantastic running route that takes me along the beach, through country roads, and past fields. The fourth lap on Sunday was back home around the airport.

Board game alert
The last few weeks in Hamburg have been dry and very sunny. As soon as we reached the end of May and the holidays, it turned cold and rainy – even in Denmark. Of course, that shouldn't bother us. We brought many dice and board games with us. There were some new games as well as some well-known, tried-and-true ones. I've taken this as an opportunity to create a new category in my blog where I'll report on my experiences and impressions of the games in the future. Always with an eye on whether it excites my family, whether it's suitable for my daughter (she can't read), and whether we will or have played it often.
This week, I started reviewing the 5-Minute Dungeon—a truly highly recommended game. As a sneak peek: Volle Lotte
, Sword & Sorcery
, and Skull King
will follow soon. There are many more, but these games are currently at the top of my favourites list.
Holiday time is reading time
I love waking up in the morning and grabbing my book and reading first thing. No obligations, no appointments, just waking up comfortably with a great book – that's the epitome of a holiday for me. Accordingly, I had plenty of time to read this week.
I left my current non-fiction book, "Nonviolent Communication," aside and read a few leisure novels (Dead Dungeon Volume 2 and Shadow Elf Volume 3). Instead of continuing to focus on the topic of communication, I discovered the book Make Time
in my holiday book pile.
I'll tell you more about this treasure in June. The effects of this reading are more drastic than I expected: I've cancelled my Netflix subscription, uninstalled the Prime app, and made my phone distraction-free. I'll explain why and what I hope to achieve in the upcoming book review. By then, I'll have some initial experiences with the changes mentioned, which I can reflect on. I'm very excited.
