I read different book series and a specialist book at the same time. When choosing my next book, I always wanted an overview. This page was created out of this wish. Here you will find books from both the private sector (mainly fantasy and thrillers) and professional environments.
The start of the homecoming trilogy, "Archmage," begins epically—the beloved heroes and antagonists are all there. It's entertaining, but nothing more, because the characters don't develop any further, nor are there any really surprising twists. For die-hard fans, it is a solid continuation with a pale aftertaste, as everything has been there before; both events are to be expected, and intrigues are easy to see through.
The group of young rangers begin an exciting mission that turns out to be a raid. As a reward, they receive three weeks off - during this time the individual members are drawn to their families, where they have to face old demons. The challenges show character development. At the end, the panthers meet up with their injured friend in the refuge. The call of the dragon ball rings out on site...
The Panthers continue their incredibly tough training for excellence and face the dangers that have been threatened against them. They overcome this challenge through team spirit and cohesion. At the same time, Lasgol and Camus' magical abilities continue to develop. The charm of the series enchants me as usual and made me devour this adventure.
The story of the boy Garrion is told just as wonderfully as it began in volume 1. He slowly discovers his power and suspects that his origins will play a role. Despite all the difficulties, he remains true to his ideals and maneuvers his way through any situation with skill, wit and luck - I always laughed and smiled while reading.
The bloody battle of the orcs against all peoples in the north continues. Only the heroic dwarf king Bruenor can stand against this power. To do this he has to reveal himself - a grand finale to this series.
During my vacation in Sweden I discovered a wonderful fantasy shop in Stockholm and this gem fell into my hands. A novel from the 80s. It begins with a small village boy who is drawn into an adventure by adverse circumstances. Exactly to my taste!
